The Far East embraces Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has taken over Japan.

Japanese pop recording artist Ayumi Hamasaki has taken obvious inspiration from our favorite quirky pop diva for her new video for “Sexy Little Things” off her 2010 album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus.” Would you ever have imagined these outfits in a pop video before Gaga, or blood coming out of an electric socket? I’m not sure what it means, but that imagery is all Gaga. Although Hamasaki released her debut album in 1999, far before Gaga hit the game, the inspiration is still there – which just goes to show the power of Gaga over the whole planet. I hear she actually put out a bid to rename Earth…

QUESTION: What do you think of Lady Gaga’s recent takeover of pop culture and the redefinition of sexiness that came with it?

You’ll be interested to learn that Time just released their list of 100 Most Influential People. Number 1? Lady Gaga.

    • Wow! I think she’s undeniably influential, but number one? Sounds like the magazine is trying to ride her tail to gain readers.

Everyone on the list is given a score based on several things, but the most important is reader/fan voting. So, of course, Gaga won by a landslide.

I thought it was ridiculous too.
